1930s Deco Apartment, Rye

Brief:- Complete renovation of 2 bed apartment in Art Deco block. Full specification of new kitchen bathroom, flooring whilst keeping the period details and restoring key features like the fireplace and windows.

Complete refurbishment of this small but perfectly formed seaside apartment on the South Coast.

We used bamboo and terrazzo flooring. We played with colourful concrete basins and black brass-ware in the bathroom. Mixed neutral ply and Formica cabinets with bright orange glass splashbacks in the kitchen.

Designed bespoke joinery for wardrobes, sitting room shelving and bathroom storage, and had fun sourcing an eclectic array of vintage and modern furniture and furnishings as well as recovering an heirloom antique lounger.

Nicky Percival understood our design concepts and vision from day one and was able to transform our tired, dreary seaside flat into a chic, contemporary home. From design to completion, Nicky made our project fun and exhilarating. She kept my partner and I central to the entire process and engaged us in every step along the way. Nicky took time to really understand our flat, our personalities and lifestyle and was able to transform our home from ordinary to amazing!
